This was a huge topic when I dove into our society. The almighty Dollar.

Is it good or bad?

We need to look a bit deeper to understand this.

When money was first used in ancient civilization and for a few hundred or more years it was the greatest idea. I mean the concept has always been around but more specific like and item for an item based on personal value but this become complicated and limited trade. A new approach had to be found. And voila. Where there's a will there's a way and money was created. The best idea you could come up with it was a predetermined value in a physical item that could be transferred to any item of similar predetermined value allowing convenience of trade or services. and for a long time this was great. I don't pretend to know quality of life back in those days but based on the fact that cavemen built better quality work than we do today I like to believe that back then people pursued purposes that provided meaning to their lives and these purposes were sold in exchange for money. As well as items. and in that model. Money worked perfectly. Civilizations learned that creating and pumping more money into a slowing economy would stimulate it and then feel its later effect and all other variations of manipulating effects of high and low amounts of money circulating through their civilization. Again. It was perfect but it it was starting to enter into a dark territory.

But lets fast forward to today.

Money. We go to work for money. We don't go to work for a purpose. Nope its only for money. The items we get in exchange for money. Are no longer made with purpose but rather to maximize money return and so most, not all, but most items we exchange money for are... well shit. The quality of work is no longer acceptable. Purpose is dead because that requires pride in quality and costs more money. Work goes to the lowest bidder.

Now with the amount of humans on the planet in todays age and our dependency on money to survive. We've had to get creative with work... and so we've created special jobs just to give to you. These jobs are useless. Or they provide useless items that we convince the masses they need and for a premium exchange of money. Voila. Capitalism.

To go a little deeper... now come the taxes? First there was just a little. Then a little more and little more until it became a standard of using this money and now in Canada for a midclass earner their taxes amount to around 40% of their income maybe a little more or maybe a little less. and these taxes go to support our country right? and all the corrupt efforts of their spenders. I mean its not actually that bad. but there is serious poor spending habits within our leadership to be sure. But now it gets really fun... We create a society that's so expensive and needing so much capitalism... that now you need to borrow money... and guess what. that comes with a 20% return on top of the capital after the entire contract is up. but it gets even better. Now we start looking at mortgages and vehicles... LOL. by the time you pay your mortgage off you've paid like 40% on 500k. I mean not quite. but honestly its seriously substantial and of course your vehicle is around the same but you need a new vehicle about every 7 years. Now I'm not saying this is all wrong. The reasons for interest is actually pretty basic. there's a lender and they need to get money from somewhere and their establishments and their security. Its all working out but the fact remains that you keep 60% of your income and over your life 20% or more of that total is given away to interest.

And here's the next fun thing about money in our world. Too little money and the public doesn't like you. Your a piece of shit. But too much money... well now the public likes you a little too much and now your the piece of shit again because your not giving out your money. now there's a middle ground. That sweet spot. But this money money runs out every 4 months... and so now you gotta keep working that job you don't like just to keep making that money....

And when you die? after working so hard all those years chasing that money... what did you actually accomplish that you truly believed in?

The other problem with money in society today... helping the world and a being a good person costs money... so why would you di it? its yours right?

On the flip side. Money is necessary to do all the good things in this world... but in my experience. all these people... seriously struggle with getting enough money.

The other thing about society. Is now everyone will do anything for money. Break all morals and values. Like all sorts of shadiness..

So i ask you, the reader, knowing all that about money... why is money something you want or seek beyond what you need to live a moderate and happy life?

I've been asked this a few times and people laugh at me because I don't jump overboard and abandon friends, family, morals or values, and I don't do what people tell me to do because of money... Money honestly means nothing to me.

Of course I do acknowledge the need of money for that basic living and for pursuing efforts you may wish to expand or grow... but i don't do anything ever because money is the reward. and i don't ever put money above the things or people that matter to me.

And here's one last fun thing about money now... the government controls how much of it you can earn in a loose fashion but if push comes to shove they can almost certainly control that to the penny... but if not... there's taxes... yes sir. that thing to keep our country running... yup. its now a method to control how much of that controlled amount of income you earn that you can actually keep... so money... your a slave to it... and the government controls it... how is this different than slavery?

Oh... and now there's this thing... that sacred documents ensuring the bond of a word to a nation... it can now be manipulated however they want... because their gonna give you money...

You know I filed a complaint about labour laws being broken at my expense. # months later the case was opened and I was contacted. Wanna know how they dealt with the situation? They said this. Sir I am only authorized to assist you in gaining money... I cant actually do anything about the work place violation... and that violation is now probably happening to others...

Our entire society is run by money these days. Although there are a few very bright and beautiful souls that carry on because it simply is the right thing to do... but they are a dying breed...

I have this interesting life experience I can tell you about. 6 years I endured suffering for a purpose I believed in. I changed things about myself that people couldn't even think we're changeable. I overcame life and death situations multiple times. I truly and honestly made these changes knowing I could not undo them and I could not go back from this path... only to arrive at a destination... that thought I was doing this... for money...

I know money affords solutions to problems... But money doesn't fix problems...

That's how sad our world is today... everyone only wants money...

Wanna know a secret? This is an expensive piece of wisdom...

What will bring you more happiness than money? Helping another person. I don't mean that to say help me. I mean to say by simply helping another person. You don't determine what that help is... That help is specific to that person. Only that person can tell you how you can help them. Through words or through other means but they know what help will look like...

People think that the favoritism I have gained is because I wanted money or power or or... i don't know what else... they simply cannot grasp... that I helped someone with something they believed in and I made their lives better. For no other reason than to help. That was all the reward I needed. I mean I may get more but I don't give two shits about that. My objective was met... The middle ground was I put in a few conditions that I liked and hey... we all thought things were great and that was a win win.

Do good not because of what you'll get but simply because its good.

The rest just happens naturally. No expectations. no nothing.

That's my thoughts on money...

I'm just being me... That's it. I don't fucking care what any of you can do or think of me.

Of course I like to know I'm appreciated but you determine that. That's not for me to think or worry about.

I'm pretty complicated hey?

This isnt even an attack on anyone or anything. I am simply telling the truth of what I see and an area that I want to help fix and bring purpose back into peoples lives where the actions of others towards themselves is simply because your neighbour just wants to something nice...

All I ever wanted was to help everyone. I talked. I talked some more. I talked even more. I kept fucking talking and the entire time I was told to stop talking but I kept trying because why wouldn't people want to help another?

And then I say a few words of my truth... and what's that? A critical attack on you? a sworn enemy? I mean I don't know. but my life sure ain't very good and that doesn't tell me I'm making friends in this arena... when the last time you looked at how your actions were effecting someone? you didn't because it wasn't you receiving the feelings..
